What a Acura typically takes

Imported cars, imported battery sizes
Many Acuras here were built to US specification, and a few of their batteries use sizes that are less common on UAE shelves than the European and Japanese formats. Swapping to a slightly different case can leave the hold-down loose or the terminals stretched. A photo of the old label, or the size stamped on its top, avoids that guesswork.
Sport Hybrid models keep a 12V battery
The MDX Sport Hybrid, RLX Sport Hybrid and the second-generation NSX combine a petrol engine with electric motors, yet they still rely on an ordinary 12V battery to power up their electronics. When it weakens the car may show a string of warnings or refuse to go into Ready mode. We replace this 12V battery; the hybrid pack is outside our work.
Heavy SUVs work their batteries harder
The MDX is a three-row family SUV that usually carries rear air conditioning, several screens and a full load of passengers, and in the UAE it idles in long school-run queues with every fan running. That sustained draw, combined with hot parking, is why its battery tends to fail sooner than owners expect. Test it before summer if it is past two years.
