Long idle periods are the real enemy
A V8 or V12 Aston Martin that waits two or three weeks between drives loses charge to its alarm, tracking and control units the whole time. Summer heat speeds that up, and a deeply drained AGM battery rarely recovers fully. Keeping the car on a battery conditioner when it is not in use is the single most effective way to avoid a call-out.
AGM only, matched to the car
These cars use AGM batteries because they cope with heavy electrical loads and deep cycling better than flooded types. The battery also has to fit a specific tray and terminal layout, and on several models it is not under the bonnet. We confirm the fitted battery's label before booking, and the technician takes care around trim and carpets during the swap.
Registration on the newer models
Recent cars such as the DB12 and the updated DBX monitor battery age and charge closely, and some need the new battery recorded in the car's system so charging is adjusted correctly. We fit the correct specification; if your car needs the change registered, that step is done with diagnostic equipment at a specialist or dealer.
