Brilliance Auto comes from Shenyang in north-east China and is best known internationally as BMW's local manufacturing partner. Under its own badge it built affordable saloons such as the BS4, BS6, H330 and H530, and small SUVs including the V3 and V5. Most examples in the UAE today are older, second-hand cars, and at that age the battery fitted may not be the original, which is why we check before we bring a replacement.

What a Brilliance typically takes

Older cars, uncertain history
A Brilliance bought used may have had several batteries fitted over the years, not always of the right size. Before booking, look at the label on the current battery and send a photo; if it looks too small for the tray, or the hold-down clamp is missing, tell us and the technician will confirm the correct size on arrival.
Check the charging system as well
On a budget saloon or SUV that has covered many kilometres, a battery that keeps dying is sometimes the symptom of a tired alternator, a loose belt or corroded terminals. The technician measures charging voltage after fitting the new battery, so you are not paying for a second one a few months later.

- Compact SUV often bought second-hand; confirm the year and whether the engine is turbocharged.
- V3
- Smaller crossover with a modest battery; heat and short trips shorten its life in summer.
- H530
- Mid-size saloon used for commuting and ride work; high mileage makes a charging check worthwhile.
- H330
- Compact saloon; a photo of the existing battery label is the quickest way to match the size.
- BS4
- Earlier saloon, now an older car; inspect terminals and cables for corrosion when replacing.
