Changhe comes from Jingdezhen in Jiangxi, where it began as part of an aircraft-building group and learned car making by assembling Suzuki designs under licence. BAIC took control of the brand in the 2010s, and later models such as the Q25, Q35 and A6 are BAIC-era cars. Most Changhe vehicles are small: microvans, compact people carriers and light passenger cars with modest engines. In the UAE they are uncommon and usually arrive second-hand or as a private import, so we work from the battery actually in the car.

What a Changhe typically takes

Small engines, small batteries, little reserve
A microvan such as the Freedom or Beidouxing has a compact engine bay and a battery sized to match, often smaller than the one in an ordinary saloon. That leaves little spare capacity. Park it in summer sun, run the fan on high during a delivery round, and the margin between a good start and a click disappears quickly. We fit the size the tray and clamp were built for, and suggest a higher-capacity version only when it genuinely fits the same footprint.
Delivery rounds with the door always open
Where these vans do work in the UAE it is usually short-hop delivery: stop, switch off, open the sliding door, restart a few minutes later. Each restart takes charge that a two-kilometre hop cannot return. If a Changhe van is doing twenty or thirty stops a day, a weekly longer drive or a periodic charge helps, and a test every few months catches a battery that has started to fall behind.
Suzuki roots, but check before assuming
Some older Changhe models share engineering with Suzuki vehicles of the same period, and owners sometimes buy a battery listed for the Suzuki equivalent. That can work, yet terminal position and hold-down style are not guaranteed to match on Chinese-market builds. We compare the old battery with the replacement on the spot before anything is tightened down.

Changhe is now a brand within the BAIC group, which took it over in the 2010s. Earlier Changhe vehicles came from its partnership with Suzuki. BAIC's own models have a separate page on this site.
Only if it fits the same tray, clamp and terminal layout. A larger case that is forced in can move on rough roads or rub cables. We check the space first and recommend the strongest battery that fits properly.
Possibly, or it may simply never get a full recharge on short hops. We load-test the battery and measure charging voltage, which tells us whether to replace it or change how it is charged.
