Dorcen is a Chinese brand that appeared around 2018 with SUVs such as the G70S and G60, and it shares history with Zotye: the Domy X5 and Domy X7 names were first used under Zotye, and the catalogue now lists them under both marques. For owners this can be confusing, because the badge, the registration and the parts listings may not agree. We go by the vehicle itself, checking the engine and the battery fitted, and choose the replacement from that.

Badge, papers and parts can disagree
A Dorcen may appear as a Zotye in one database and under its own name in another, and a parts counter can end up offering a battery for the wrong car as a result. Rather than rely on the name, the technician reads the size and capacity on the fitted battery, checks the tray and terminal layout, and matches those directly.
Family SUVs in the summer
The G60 and G70S are family SUVs, so they spend summer carrying passengers with the air conditioning working hard. That load, plus afternoons parked on hot tarmac, is what usually ends a battery after two or three years. A slow crank after the car has been left in the sun is the signal to arrange a test before it fails completely.
Electric versions still need 12V
The G60E and the small E20 are listed as electric versions, and like any EV they rely on a 12V battery to power the controllers that bring the drive system online. If one will not wake, we test that 12V unit and replace it where needed. The traction battery is outside what we do.
