Kaiyi began as a venture between Chery and partners in Yibin, Sichuan, and is now based there, building budget-priced crossovers and saloons that often use Chery-derived engines. Its export push has taken models such as the X3 Pro, Showjet and X7 Kunlun into new markets, and a few now reach the UAE through regional importers. What a Kaiyi typically takes

Value cars, modest batteries
Budget crossovers usually leave the factory with a battery sized for the car's basic needs, not for a full UAE summer of air conditioning, dashcams and phone chargers. When the original fails, fitting the same capacity again is correct, but choosing a heat-tolerant maintenance-free unit of that size gives more margin. We never fit a smaller battery just because it happens to fit the tray.
Check the importer warranty first
If your Kaiyi is new and still covered by an importer's warranty, ask whether they require a particular battery before anything is replaced. We can test the battery and give you the reading, so you can decide whether to make a claim, and fit a replacement once you are ready to go ahead.
The Xuandu EV and its 12V battery
The Xuandu EV runs on electric drive, yet it keeps a conventional 12V battery for the locks, the lighting and the control units that start the system. A failing 12V battery can leave the car silent despite a charged pack. We replace the 12V unit only; anything to do with the drive battery stays with the importer.
