Lancia has not been sold new in the UAE for many years, so the Lancias here are imports and enthusiasts' cars: a Delta HF Integrale kept for weekends, a Fulvia coupe, an Ypsilon brought from Italy. Chrysler underneath, Lancia on the badge
The later Thema is a Chrysler 300 and the Voyager a Chrysler minivan, sold with Lancia badges in continental Europe. They take American-pattern batteries rather than the European sizes of Italian-built Lancias. On the Thema, as on the Chrysler 300, the battery sits in the boot under the floor, which surprises owners looking under the bonnet. Parts for these cars are easier to find here under their Chrysler identities.
Classic Lancias need patience, not just a battery
A Delta Integrale, Fulvia or Beta that sits for weeks will flatten a battery, and older wiring, tired earth straps and corroded terminals often get the blame shifted onto the battery itself. When the technician fits a new one, it is worth checking that the earth connection and terminal clamps are sound. A battery isolator or maintainer is a good idea for any Lancia that is only driven occasionally.
The small Ypsilon
The Ypsilon has been Lancia's mainstay for years, a small Italian city car with a compact battery. The newest generation shares its platform with other Stellantis small cars and comes in electric and hybrid forms, which still rely on a 12V battery. Check the label for EFB or AGM on start-stop versions and match it.

On the 2011 to 2014 Thema it is in the boot, under the floor, as on the Chrysler 300. The engine bay has jump-start posts only. Older Themas from the 1980s and 1990s have it under the bonnet.
