Li Auto is a Beijing-based maker of large family SUVs, most of them range-extended electrics: the L6, L7, L8 and L9 drive on electric motors and carry a small petrol engine that generates power when the battery runs down. What a Li typically takes

When a Li Auto will not wake
Like other electrified cars, a Li Auto relies on a low-voltage battery to boot its computers, unlock the doors and connect the high-voltage pack. If that battery is flat, the huge screens stay black and the car appears dead even with plenty of charge and fuel. That low-voltage system is the first thing the technician checks on a no-start.
Check what kind of 12V battery is fitted
Chinese EV makers do not all use the same low-voltage battery. Some fit a conventional lead-acid unit we can replace directly; others use a compact lithium battery with its own management that must be replaced with the matching part. Before booking, open the front compartment or send a photo of the battery and its label so we can tell you honestly whether it is something we can fit.
Heat and parked cars
A large SUV with cabin monitoring, remote climate and connected services draws a little current around the clock. Parked outdoors in a UAE summer, that slow drain combines with heat to shorten the life of the low-voltage battery. If the car will sit for a while, keep the high-voltage battery charged, since many EVs top up the 12V battery from it.
