Mosler Automotive was a small Florida company founded by Warren Mosler, first known for the Consulier GTP of the mid-1980s and later for the MT900, a mid-engined composite supercar powered by a Corvette-sourced V8. Only a small number were built, many of them for racing, and road-car production had wound down by the early 2010s. Seeing one in the UAE is extremely rare, so any battery job starts with finding out exactly how that particular car has been built and kept.

What a Mosler typically takes

No two cars may be the same
Low-volume cars like the MT900 were often finished to the customer's wishes, and many have been modified for track days since. The battery may be a compact lightweight unit rather than a standard type, and its location varies. Before we travel, we ask for photos of the battery and its mounting so the replacement is the right size, weight and chemistry for that car.
Long rests and slow drains
A Mosler in the Gulf is a car for occasional outings, and weeks in a garage between them let the alarm, clock and control modules pull the battery down. Once a lead-acid battery has sat half-empty through summer heat, it rarely returns to full strength. A smart maintainer plugged in whenever the car is parked is the most practical protection an owner can give it.
Consulier GTP: an early composite car
The Consulier GTP combined a composite body with a turbocharged Chrysler four-cylinder engine, so many of its mechanical parts are Chrysler items of the era. Its electrics are simpler than the later MT900's, but after several decades the cables, fuses and earth points deserve as much attention as the battery itself. We check them while we are on site.

Only if we can supply the chemistry the car's charging is set up for. Tell us what is fitted; if it is a specialist lithium unit we cannot match, we say so plainly rather than install a lead-acid battery the system was not configured for.
Sometimes, but a battery that has been flat for months in the heat has usually lost much of its capacity. We test it first. If it cannot hold a charge, replacing it is more reliable than repeated jump starts, which also put stress on the car's electronics.
