Qiteng is the Chinese brand name of Fujian New Longma's passenger vehicles; the same models are sold abroad as Keyton, which has its own page here. The catalogue lists the Qiteng badge on the earliest M70, EX80 and V60 builds from the mid-2010s, so a Qiteng-badged vehicle in the UAE is now an older import, almost certainly brought in privately. Age, not the badge, is what shapes the battery work on these, and we approach them as we would any vehicle of ten years or more.

What a Qiteng typically takes

Read the date on the old battery
Most batteries carry a manufacturing date, stamped as a code on the case or printed on the label. On a vehicle this age it tells you whether the battery has simply reached the end of a normal life, which in UAE heat is often two to three years, or failed early and points to another fault. We read it before recommending anything, and if the battery is young and failing we look for the reason.
Cables and earth points age too
After a decade of heat, battery cables can harden and crack under their insulation, clamps stretch and the earth connection to the body corrodes out of sight. Any of these makes a healthy battery seem weak. When we replace a battery on an older Qiteng, we inspect the cables along their length and clean the earth point, because a new battery on tired wiring will not start any better.

In UAE conditions, a battery past three years is due a test before summer, and past four it is living on borrowed time. We read the date code on yours and load-test it before advising a replacement.
