Roewe is SAIC's own Chinese brand, created in 2006 after the company acquired rights to Rover 75 designs; the Roewe 750 grew directly from that car. Today it sells SUVs, sedans and electrified models in China, and several share their platforms with the MG cars that Gulf buyers know, such as the RX5. Roewes in the UAE are private imports, so the battery fitted when the car arrived is our main reference.

What a Roewe typically takes
We do not publish a specification range for Roewe because we would be guessing. Send us the model and year on WhatsApp and we confirm the exact battery, the price and the arrival time in one message.
MG cousins make sizing easier
Because SAIC builds both brands on shared underpinnings, many Roewe engine bays hold the same battery sizes as their MG relatives. That helps when a Roewe owner needs a replacement quickly. It is still worth sending a photo of the current label, as Chinese-market trims sometimes carry different engines or electrical options.
Plug-ins and EVs keep a 12V battery
The eRX5, Ei5, Marvel X and other electrified Roewes all run their control units from a 12V battery. If it drops too low, the car may not switch on at all, even with a charged traction battery. We test and replace that 12V battery; high-voltage components are left to specialists.
The Rover-derived saloons
The 750 and 550 date from the brand's first years and are now mostly older cars. Their batteries are conventional, but wiring and earth connections deserve a look on high-mileage examples, because corroded terminals can mimic a failing battery. We clean and check connections as part of every fit.
