Start-stop sets the battery type
Many SEATs from the last decade switch the engine off at traffic lights, and that repeated restarting needs an enhanced battery. Cars with start-stop and brake energy recovery generally use AGM; simpler start-stop systems may use EFB. The label on the fitted battery tells you which, and the replacement should match or step up, never down.
The car keeps track of its battery
Group-wide battery monitoring on many SEATs adjusts charging to the battery's age and type. After a replacement, some models need the new battery coded or adapted so the car charges it correctly. We fit the right battery and let you know if your SEAT needs that step done with diagnostic equipment.
Heat and short urban trips
