Victory is one of the least documented makes we list. Vehicle catalogues show a small family of SUV-type models, the V1, V2, K-series and X1, dating from about 2014, with a V2E version later, but reliable information about the manufacturer and its markets is thin, and we would rather say so than guess. What we can promise is practical: a 12V starter battery is replaced the same way on any car, and we work from what is physically fitted.

What a Victory typically takes

Start from the car, not the brochure
With so little published data, the useful facts are under the bonnet. Before we set off, it helps to have three things: a clear picture of the battery top with its label, a picture showing how it is clamped down, and the model and year from the registration card. From those the technician can choose a standard battery that fits the space and the cables without modification.
Is the V2E electric?
An E added to a model name often marks an electric or hybrid version, and the V2E may be one, but we check rather than assume. Look for a charging flap, orange high-voltage cables or warning stickers in the engine bay. If it does prove to be electric, we replace only its 12V auxiliary battery and leave the drive system alone.
Check the charging, too
On an unfamiliar car with an unknown history, a flat battery can be a symptom rather than the cause. After fitting, the technician measures charging voltage at idle and again with the air conditioning, fan and headlights on. A weak alternator or a corroded earth strap would kill a new battery just as quickly, so it is worth finding out on the spot.
