Xiaomi, better known for smartphones, entered the car business in 2024 with the SU7, an electric sports sedan, followed by the high-performance SU7 Ultra. Cars in the UAE are private imports, and like any EV they carry a 12V auxiliary battery that powers the screens, locks and control units and connects the high-voltage pack. A connected car that never fully sleeps
The SU7 is built around software and connectivity, with apps, cameras and background updates that keep modules awake when parked. In a UAE summer, that load combined with heat can drain and age the 12V battery faster than owners expect. If the car has sat for a while and does not respond, test the 12V battery before assuming a bigger fault.
Imported cars, careful matching
With no local service network yet, SU7 owners depend on accurate information. The 12V battery specification may vary between builds, so we ask for a photo of the existing battery label before setting off. If the fitted unit is not one we can match, we will say so rather than fit something unsuitable.
