ZAZ is the Zaporizhzhia car factory in Ukraine, famous at home for the old Zaporozhets and later for assembling cars under licence. Its 2000s and 2010s range was built from other makers' designs: the Lanos and Sens came from the Daewoo Lanos, the Chance was an export name for the Lanos, the Vida was based on the Chevrolet Aveo, and the Forza on a Chery sedan. The Lanos was once sold across the Gulf under the Daewoo and Chevrolet names, so its battery tray, terminals and cables follow sizes that are easy to find here. The Vida follows the Aveo, and the Forza follows its Chery counterpart. Knowing which original the car comes from narrows the choice immediately, and the label on the fitted battery confirms it.
