- Mall of the Emirates is the area's main landmark and has a very large multi-level car park.
- Mostly mid-rise apartment buildings and hotels rather than villas.
- Sheikh Zayed Road runs along the neighbourhood's edge.
- The Mall of the Emirates Metro Station connects the area to the rest of Dubai.
Where we find cars in Al Barsha 1
At the mall, send the level, zone letter and the nearest entrance name. In an apartment building, give the name, the basement level and the ramp you use, and tell security a technician is coming. If a hotel valet parked the car, ask them to confirm the exact bay first so the technician is not searching the garage.
Metro all week, car in the basement
Plenty of Barsha 1 residents take the metro to work and only use the car at weekends. That leaves it in a basement for days at a time, with the alarm and electronics drawing a little current and nothing putting charge back. A short weekend trip to the supermarket does not make up the difference. After a few months of that routine, a battery that was fine in spring gives up without warning.
