Naif is one of Deira's oldest trading neighbourhoods, a grid of narrow streets packed with shops, small hotels and wholesale traders just inland from Dubai Creek, with Naif Souk at its heart. Parking is tight and almost always on the street or in a small paid lot. Many of the vehicles we meet here are working ones: delivery vans, pickups and older saloons that spend the day crawling between loading stops. A precise shop or hotel name gets us to you far faster than a pin in the middle of the market.

Where we find cars in Naif

Send the name of the nearest shop, hotel or car park and a photo of a sign you can see from the car. Pins inside the souk area often land on a pedestrian lane. If the car is double-parked or blocking a loading bay, tell us, and try to have it pushed or moved to a spot where the technician can work without stopping deliveries.

Stop-go crawling and older batteries

Driving in Naif is mostly first gear: a few metres, a stop, the engine idling with the fan and headlights on. At idle the alternator barely charges, so a van doing loading runs all day can finish with less charge than it started with. Many vehicles here are also older, with batteries that have been jump-started many times, and each deep drain shortens their life.
