Arjan is a young Dubailand community of low- and mid-rise apartment buildings, with Dubai Miracle Garden as its best-known neighbour. Many of the newer buildings park cars on podium decks, and the top deck is usually open to the sky. That is where a lot of our Arjan jobs end up: a car that has spent the summer on an unshaded roof level. Arjan also borders Al Barsha South, so the building name is what keeps us from heading to the wrong block.

Give the building name, the ramp you use and the parking level, and whether that level is covered or open. For a building that has only just been occupied, a photo of the entrance helps if the map pin is unclear. If you are visiting Miracle Garden, send the car park area there, not your home address.
Open top decks in the full sun
The top level of a podium car park has no shade at all, and in summer the concrete deck radiates heat back up into the car from below while the sun beats down from above. Engine bay temperatures climb far higher than in a basement, and heat is what shortens battery life most. Two or three summers on an open deck can finish a battery that would have lasted much longer under cover.
